IAP ALS Provider course for HCPs

Recommended for every doctor caring for sick children: Candidates should be trained in BLS to join this course. They are expected to go through the study material suggested for this course in the guidelines. Candidates are trained in skills of management of Respiratory, Circulatory and Cardiac emergencies in children including stabilization in the emergency room by case based simulation exercises with team approach. USP is interpersonal communication skills. There is an additional session on how to pass on an unpleasant news. The candidates are evaluated in the skills of BLS apart from the common emergencies and need to fulfill the successful completion criteria for being certified. Successful, eligible and willing candidates would be provided with an opportunity to become instructors in ALS activities of the IAP at a later date intimated to them individually. Recommended for all Pediatricians and other healthcare providers dealing with sick children practicing in India by the IAP
